About
A moment of escape, shared

Picture an occasion when you lost track of time and felt as if you'd entered another world — carried along by stories, the senses, and imagination.
For me, that sensation comes when I'm soaking up the vibrancy in a painting, descending the stairs of a crypt, or losing all care during a walk among gardens and ruins. That is why I began giving tours of the stunning sites I've encountered as a Californian living in France — eighteen years to date, based in Aix-en-Provence.
I wanted to create tours where visitors could gain historical insights into a time and place while pursuing a travel passion they love, whether to sketch, photograph, journal, converse, or simply learn about the region's exceptional sites. We take a leisurely pace, and each tour's planning is adapted to encourage a relaxed tempo.
I studied art history in Italy, England, and the United States. I taught and traveled for two years in China, wrote for a culture and family magazine in Paris for three, and for the past twelve years have run my own business in France as an aviation writer. Having worn hats as a teacher and communications professional, I design tours that use immersive storytelling and multimedia to convey a more complete understanding of the sites we visit.
Each day's itinerary is scrupulously planned so that we cover a wealth of experiences. Lunch is a delicious, relaxing and social moment. And it goes without saying that we take care of everything, including tips and tickets, to give you a true escape from care.
